Movie Review: Journey To The Center Of The Earth

Journey to the center of the earth is a science fiction movie that had been produced twice with different era and also director. It inspired or adapted from one of the most popular novel with the same title written by Julius Verne. First, it released on 1959 directed by Henry Levin, and it reproduce again on 2008 directed by Eric Brevig in 3D form.

Started with a boy, named Sean who stayed with his uncle only for a few days. His uncle was a lecturer and also a geologist, same with his father. Sean's father lost when he was doing research directly to the point that connected to the center of the earth the explored it. When Sean arrived at his uncle's home, they got the same data as his father's got before he lost. This data brought them to woman in Reykjavik. She was a daughter for the founder of Asgeirsson Institute for Progressive Volcanology who addicted to Julius Verne book. They started their journey with climbing mountain in the next day.

This movie combined so many theory about what are in the center of the earth. With modern style, this movie show us how technology can give you more information about code, name of the person from different country who have same mission.

It had been shown in our TV channel on Global TV in Big Movies program, and also on RCTI  as the family movie.The actor and actrees was famous in this era. Josh Hutcerson who also acted in Hunger Games, act as Sean. Brendan Faser as his father, and Anita Briem as mount climber, daughter for the founder of Asgeirsson Institute for Progressive Volcanology.

It was a wonderful film. You can't move even a step from your sit to see all the things happen. With simple style, friendly interaction from the character make us understand the movie and also get new knowledge. It was addicted!
